Nowhere is this accolade more evident than in the vibrant arts community of Hatch Street Studios, located two historic brick and stone historic factory buildings at 88-90 Hatch Street, New Bedford, MA 02745.
The artists of New Bedford’s Hatch Street Studios will throw open their doors to the public on Saturday, November 23, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday, November 24, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Hatch Street Open Studio Weekend is a joyous community activity that’s entertaining and educational for adults and children of all ages. Taking place twice a year, Hatch Street Open Studio Weekend is a festive event where more than 65 creatives open their workspaces, studios, and gallery doors to the public. Resident artists and invited guests show and sell creations inspired by the vibrancy of the spring season. Visitors are invited to tour the artists’ studios, watch demonstrations, participate in workshops, listen to live music, and purchase unique gifts and fine art. Artwork is fresh and wide-ranging including paintings, pottery, prints, photographs, textile art, sculpture, jewelry, fine furniture, crafts, and glass, as well as installation art.
